I combine up-to-date anatomical facts with extensive pilates knowledge which I have learned from the best schools of pilates in England and the U.S.A. to give you classes which are a great mixture of hard and gentle, but always smart exercise.
Everyone’s body has been uniquely moulded by their life, so just as Joseph Pilates did I mould your pilates exercises according to your needs.
Joseph Pilates described his mat-work as his “Method” which consists of some 46 sequenced exercises which work every muscle group in a flowing manner.
I teach Mr. Pilates’s exercises which are based on martial arts, yoga, and boxing.
I also teach many more superb pilates exercises which have been influenced by the Alexander Technique which come from the world and Olympic renowned Body Control Pilates Association.
The quality of the teaching is at the top end of the market because this is the level of pilates which is, by far, the most successful for improving the body.

These lessons are built around the specific needs and goals of the client who may come for medical reasons, for ultramuscular-skeletal fitness training or for times convenient to client’s diary; or for pre-class preparation.

I specialize in the prevention and cure of muscular-skeletal problems in men, women and children.
Pre and post pregnancy, surgery, after car accidents, polio, scoliosis, breathing, shoulder, neck, feet, hip, back etc.

This class is comparatively hard and fast and is not suitable for those with back injuries or any pains, apart from resistant hamstrings which will get a thorough work-out! Joseph called his matwork "The Method".
Current clients, note, the first exercise is The 100's followed by Roll-Ups, then Roll-Overs!
This class is highly recommended for those who have already attended a general fitness pilates class for at least six to 12 months.
Rosemary learned the classic Joseph Pilates matwork sequence from many schools, including in Boulder, Denver and with the brilliant Michael Miller.
The studio has all the best pilates machines, - Reformers, Wunda chairs, Cadillac, Barrell, etc. 2/3 clients at a time.
These machines bring a new challenge to the body as whilst they can actually offer more support and less resistance than mat-work they can also offer more resistance and more instability, depending on the exercise.
Rosemary's current clients tend to do machine work for their added resistance and less stabilization than mat, as she knows they have developed an excellent total body connection via their mat and are ready for these challenges from the machines.
One, two or three clients get taught at any one time. We offer the full range of Joseph Pilates machines and ours are of the highest quality and have been imported from the U.S.A. There are three reformers, three 'Wunda' chairs, a barrel and two trapezes. Well taught machine work is very hands on by the teacher because the machines can be dangerous with their many springs, so classes have to be kept small if they are to keep their integrity and safety.
Rosemary has trained in machine work in Boulder, Denver, U.S.A. and in England.
Our studio is, I hope you will agree, perfect – 2 toilets, studio and entrance all on the ground floor and very accessible.
